Milan has found popularity recently among travelers, with cheap flight tickets available from many European cities. From London for instance, you can fly to Milan for as cheap as £7!  (Check out Skyscanner.net and search for the cheapest month for the best prices.)

No wonder then, that Milan has become such a popular spot for a weekend city break. If you want to make the most out of it, read our wonderers top tips for an amazing few days in Milan!

Top sights you should not miss (after the famous cathedral of course), according to Francesca and Melissa:

1) Navigli (the canal district) by night, especially in December — visit for nice cafés, bars and pubs
2) Brera district by night, during aperitivo time (6-9pm)
3) Parco Sempione, a beautiful large city park
4) Galleria
5) Castle
6) Cimitero Monumentale
7) Arco della Pace
8) Porta Venezia area’s lovely buildings

And the food you should definitely try:
1) Pizza
2) Risotto alla Milanese
3) Gelato

**FEMALE TRAVEL SAFETY TIPS**

The suburbs are not really nice by night and the subway closes at 2 am, so be sure to plan accordingly and stay safe!
